Dareu Launches COOL68 Magnetic Switch Keyboard With 8K Polling Rate
Dareu has officially unveiled its latest mechanical keyboard, the COOL68, designed to cater to users who prefer compact layouts and high-speed performance. The keyboard arrives in three distinct color options—Fire Orange, Cloud Blue, and Ice Rock Black—providing both style and variety for different setups. Each variant corresponds to Dareu’s magnetic switch technology, offering users a choice between Shadow Blade and Ice Blade switches.
The COOL68 adopts a 68-key layout that balances compact form and usability, making it suitable for both gaming and office work. Measuring 329x111x44 mm and weighing approximately 740 grams, the keyboard is built to remain portable while still providing a solid typing experience. One of the key design highlights is the “light-wing lightbox” system, which adds side-mounted lighting effects to enhance its visual presence.
Internally, the keyboard uses a T-Gasket structure that improves key stability, reduces vibration, and refines typing acoustics. With full-key hybrid switch support, users can enjoy customization and consistency across the entire layout. To complement the hardware, Dareu equips the COOL68 with durable PBT keycaps, which are known for their resistance to wear and smoother texture compared to ABS keycaps.
For performance, the keyboard supports a wired connection with an 8kHz polling rate. This feature ensures ultra-low input latency, making it suitable for users who demand high responsiveness in competitive gaming scenarios. Dareu also includes software support via app and web-based drivers, enabling users to fine-tune lighting, macros, and other customization options.
At present, Dareu has not disclosed pricing or detailed release schedules for the COOL68. Additional information regarding availability is expected in the near future as the company expands its mechanical keyboard lineup.
