Keychron Introduces M3 Mini Wireless Mouse 8K Metal Edition with Magnesium Alloy Build
Keychron has announced the global release of the M3 Mini Wireless Mouse 8K Metal Edition, expanding its growing lineup of compact performance peripherals. The new model uses a frame-style magnesium alloy exterior, giving the mouse a more rigid structure while reducing overall weight to around 65 grams. By introducing a metal version of the M3 Mini, the company is positioning this model as a premium option for users who want a balance of durability, size, and wireless flexibility.
The M3 Mini 8K Metal Edition is equipped with the PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor, which is known for delivering accurate tracking across different surfaces. This sensor is paired with a Realtek RTL8762G MCU, enabling high polling rates across multiple connection modes. The mouse supports USB-C wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes at 8000Hz, giving users access to low input latency during gaming or fast-paced workloads. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity is also available, operating at 125Hz for general use or when switching between multiple devices.
Keychron has integrated a TUNOR 80M microswitch rated for up to 80 million clicks, offering a firm and consistent click response. When operating in 8kHz polling mode, battery endurance drops to around 40 hours due to increased power requirements. This gives users the option to switch between performance and battery conservation based on their daily needs.
The magnesium alloy construction is one of the main updates for this edition. The frame-style approach helps the mouse maintain its lightweight design while improving structural rigidity compared to typical plastic shells.
