Logitech G Launches PRO X TKL RAPID Mechanical Keyboard with Magnetic Switches

Logitech G has launched its first mechanical keyboard featuring magnetic switches, the PRO X TKL RAPID (also known as GPW RT in China). This new keyboard is set to hit the market in December at a price of $169.99.

A Refined Design

The PRO X TKL RAPID carries forward the sleek and minimalistic design of the PRO X TKL LIGHTSPEED, maintaining the same compact layout. Available in black, white, and pink color options, the keyboard is equipped with essential media control keys and a volume wheel on the upper right corner. One notable difference from previous models is that the PRO X TKL RAPID supports only wired connectivity with a polling rate of 1000Hz, offering stability for competitive gaming environments.

Magnetic Switches with Rapid Response

What sets the PRO X TKL RAPID apart is its use of magnetic analog key switches. These switches have a starting weight of 35gf, providing a light and responsive feel. The keyboard also features an adjustable trigger point, allowing users to tailor key actuation to their preferences. One standout feature is Rapid Trigger, which ensures faster response times during gameplay, a critical advantage for professional players.

The trigger point and rapid trigger value can be adjusted directly on the keyboard, removing the need for software installation. This makes it easier for esports athletes to customize the device to their specific needs, particularly in competition settings where software might not be available.

Fine-Tuning with G HUB

For users seeking more granular control, Logitech’s G HUB software offers detailed customization. The trigger parameters for each key can be fine-tuned in increments as small as 0.1mm, ensuring that gamers can set up the keyboard to their exact specifications. The software also includes the KEY CONTROL function, which allows users to assign multiple trigger actions and multi-layer commands to individual keys, providing advanced control options for different gaming scenarios.

Enhanced Accuracy with SOCD Support

To improve operating precision, the PRO X TKL RAPID comes with SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) support. This feature is particularly useful in certain competitive games, where strict input accuracy can make a significant difference. The inclusion of SOCD ensures that conflicting keypresses are handled smoothly, giving players a competitive edge.

With its blend of advanced magnetic switch technology, customization options, and ergonomic design, the Logitech PRO X TKL RAPID looks to be an appealing choice for gamers and esports professionals. The keyboard’s December release will offer a new high-performance tool for those looking to elevate their gaming experience.
