NEWMEN GM780 & GM980 Gasket Mounted Full Hot-Swappable Mechanical Keyboards
NEWMEN has come up with two new mechanical keyboards today, the GM780 and the GM980. Both of these keyboards are the first from NEWMEN to feature a gasket-mounted structure. Both the keyboards support three-connection modes along with seamless switching between the devices. These have a full-key hot-swappable design with 5-pin switches. NEWMEN has designed the GM780 and the GM980 keyboards using a transparent PC(Polycarbonate) chassis and dual-toned PBT keycaps. The keyboards are launched in three different color options, Starry Sky Purple, Bright Sun Yellow, and Mist Gray. GM780 is launched for 109$ while the GM980 has got a price tag of 129$.
GM780 and GM980 are the first set of keyboards from NEWMEN to have a gasket-mounted structure. They have two thick silicone pads between the PCB and the metal plate of the keyboards. This silicone padded gasket structure not only produces soft acoustics but also provides a smooth stabilized operation. The bottom pad absorbs the force produced with keystrokes.
NEWMEN has designed the latest GM780 & GM980 mechanical keyboards with high-performance premium mechanical switches. The keyboards are available in high-speed Gateron G Pro Silver, Kalih Box Red, and an in-house developed Starry Sky switch options. All three of these switch options offer linear and smooth feedback upon key press. They have a short key-travel and fast trigger response. The keyboards have hot-swappable PCB where users can change the switches to five-pin types easily. All keys on both the keyboards work flawlessly with a non-conflict design. There won’t be any ghosting issues with the keyboard either.
NEWMEN GM780 and GM980 support triple-connection modes. With Wireless Bluetooth, Wireless 2.4GHz, and Wired USB Type-C Connectivity, They offer a wide range of compatible devices including Windows, Android, iOS, and Mac systems. The keyboards can be connected to multiple devices at once and offer easy and seamless switching between them.
