Razer Expands 4000 Hz HyperPolling Wireless Support Across More BlackWidow Keyboards
Razer has announced that its 4000 Hz HyperPolling Wireless technology will now be available on a wider range of its BlackWidow gaming keyboards. The feature, which first appeared on the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%, is designed to deliver faster response times and improved precision for players who demand consistent performance in competitive environments.
The company confirmed that the Razer BlackWidow V4 Tenkeyless HyperSpeed, BlackWidow V4 Low-profile HyperSpeed, and BlackWidow V4 Low-profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed are now compatible with the upgraded 4000 Hz wireless polling technology. The update aims to provide gamers with enhanced responsiveness and a smoother connection when using Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless system.

Expanding Wireless Performance for Competitive Play
Modern gaming continues to evolve, and input speed has become one of the key factors influencing player performance. Razer’s development of its 4000 Hz HyperPolling Wireless technology reflects this shift, as the company works to minimize latency and increase the data transmission rate between devices and PCs.
Traditional gaming keyboards typically operate at a 1000 Hz polling rate, meaning the keyboard sends data to the computer every millisecond. Razer’s 4000 Hz HyperPolling pushes this rate four times higher, transmitting data every 0.25 milliseconds. This allows for quicker keypress recognition, tighter control, and a more responsive experience during fast-paced gameplay. When combined with Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, the system ensures stable and precise communication, reducing input lag that could affect performance during competitive matches.
How to Enable 4000 Hz Wireless Polling
Owners of compatible BlackWidow keyboards can activate the new polling rate through Razer Synapse 4. The process begins by updating the keyboard firmware using the Synapse software. After installation, users can pair their device with the Razer HyperPolling Wireless Dongle to unlock the 4000 Hz mode.
The setup process includes the following steps:
- Firmware Update: Open Razer Synapse 4 and check for available firmware updates under the keyboard section. Follow the link to Razer’s support site to install the latest version.
- Dongle Pairing: Once the firmware is updated, navigate to the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle tab in Synapse, select “Pair Device,” and choose the supported keyboard model. The software will automatically update the dongle firmware if needed.

After pairing, the keyboard will operate at a true 4000 Hz wireless polling rate, providing the speed and reliability expected from Razer’s performance-grade peripherals.
Continued Focus on Wireless Innovation
Razer’s expansion of HyperPolling Wireless support shows the company’s ongoing commitment to refining wireless technology for gaming. The update offers both existing and new users a way to achieve faster input speeds without compromising the convenience of a wireless setup. With these enhancements, Razer continues to bridge the gap between wired and wireless performance for competitive players.
The update for supported keyboards is now available through Razer Synapse 4, and users can access detailed instructions via the official Razer Support page.
