YUNZII Launches AL98 Three-Mode Mechanical Keyboard with Aluminum Alloy Build
YUNZII Keyboard Universe has officially introduced the AL98, a mechanical keyboard designed for both productivity and gaming, featuring a 96% layout and a robust die-cast aluminum alloy build. The keyboard integrates 101 keys, with dedicated Delete, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys placed between the primary typing area and the numeric keypad. The AL98 is available in three finishes: Black Blade, Glowing White, and Neon Pink.
The AL98 uses a gasket-mounted structure paired with a PC positioning plate, aimed at enhancing typing comfort and reducing vibration. Its internal sound management system consists of six distinct layers: sandwich cotton, IXPE switch pad, PET pad, sound-dampening cotton, silicone bottom cotton, and IPXE pad. These layers are designed to improve typing acoustics and minimize noise.
Switch support is another focus of the AL98. It is compatible with both five-pin and three-pin mechanical switches, making it fully hot-swappable for easy customization. The keyboard includes factory-installed linear switch options — Coconut Milk V2 and Snow Top Coffee V2 — to offer smooth keystrokes out of the box. The south-facing ARGB backlighting ensures even illumination and improved compatibility with various keycap profiles.
Keycaps on the AL98 are manufactured from high-quality PBT material using a two-shot injection molding process, which helps resist shine and wear over extended use.
Connectivity is one of the AL98’s main highlights, offering three modes: wired USB, wireless 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth. This flexibility allows the keyboard to pair with multiple devices, from desktop PCs to laptops and tablets. An integrated 8000mAh rechargeable battery powers the wireless modes, aiming to provide extended usage between charges.
The AL98 also supports QMK and VIA firmware, enabling users to remap keys and create custom layouts through open-source tools. This feature caters to both advanced users who require specialized key arrangements and casual users seeking simple macro functions.
