FL·ESPORTS Geo 65 Officially Released and Go on Sale in September

FL·ESPORTS has officially unveiled its long-anticipated Geo 65 mechanical keyboard, scheduled to go on sale in September, with the exact release date to be announced on GB posts. Designed with aesthetics in mind, the Geo 65 features hidden screw locking points to maintain a seamless surface, free from visible screw holes. The keyboard’s outer shell is made from 6063 T6 aluminum, precision-crafted via CNC machining. Its bottom decorative piece undergoes anodization and laser engraving for a stunning high-gloss silver effect, enhancing the keyboard’s premium look. The fully assembled FL·ESPORTS Geo 65 weighs approximately 1.7kg.

The Geo 65 features a refined texture, achieved through a combination of 220-mesh sandblasting and hard anodizing. This process ensures smooth mass production while delivering a silky and visually appealing metal finish. FL·ESPORTS highlights that the true essence of this texture is best experienced through touch, making it a tactile delight for users.

Structurally, FL·ESPORTS has taken the conventional PCB-Gasket design and introduced its own innovative improvements. Instead of using the common elastic arm PCB-Gasket, which often leads to issues like edge collapse, the Geo 65 employs a "walled PCB-Gasket structure." By adding silicone sleeves to wall adjacent force arms, the design enhances the consistency of keypresses, resulting in more reliable stability. This design is also compatible with non-mechanical switch liners, such as magnetic axes, offering more versatility to users.

The positioning board is crafted using composite materials (PC+PA) through an open mold injection molding process, improving its precision, stability, and durability. A solid color injection molding technique is paired with sun grain processing, ensuring a harmonious visual and tactile experience. The PCB, 1.2mm thick and featuring micro-slots, lower light positioning, and full-key standard RGB, supports hot-swappable switch sockets and a three-mode connection. With a 6000mAh battery, it also includes web drive functionality for added convenience.

FL·ESPORTS has put significant thought into the internal filling of the Geo 65. Between the PCB and positioning board, a layer of Japanese Inoue Poron sandwich cotton provides sound insulation, while the IXPE shaft pad is covered with a non-perforated transparent PU film to enhance typing sound quality. A customized slow-rebound foam covers the back of the PCB, adding further sound and typing improvements.

After rigorous testing, the FL·ESPORTS team has optimized the Geo 65 for linear switches with pre-bottoming action, ensuring a highly satisfying typing experience. This unified internal filling solution will be standard in all mass-produced models of the keyboard.

In addition to the base model, FL·ESPORTS will offer optional FR4 immersion gold positioning plates and aluminum positioning plates, catering to users who wish to customize their keyboard further. For those seeking even more personalization, FL·ESPORTS plans to release various affordable filling accessories to enhance the keyboard’s performance and feel. Additionally, the company will open-source positioning plate designs, allowing enthusiasts to download and create their own, whether slotted or non-slotted.

FL·ESPORTS is gearing up for the Geo 65’s September launch, promising a top-tier mechanical keyboard experience tailored for customization and superior typing performance.
