James Donkey RSR5s Gaming Mouse Launches with Dual 8K Polling and PAW3395 Sensor
James Donkey has officially launched the RSR5s gaming mouse, expanding its lineup with a lightweight model designed for competitive play. The new mouse combines dual 8K polling rate support with the flagship PAW3395 optical sensor and a 55-gram chassis, targeting users who prioritize fast response times and precise tracking in FPS and esports titles.
The RSR5s features the PAW3395 sensor, a component widely adopted in premium gaming mice. It is engineered to deliver accurate tracking performance across different surfaces, reducing unwanted acceleration or drift during fast movements. That level of consistency benefits players who depend on precise flick shots and rapid directional changes in competitive shooters.

The RSR5s supports a dual 8K polling rate in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes, allowing it to report its position to the PC at up to 8000Hz. This higher reporting frequency can lower input latency and enhance responsiveness, especially when paired with high-refresh-rate monitors in competitive gaming scenarios. That said, operating at 8K increases the load on system resources. PCs with weaker CPUs or limited memory bandwidth may encounter performance drops, and real-world performance will depend on the overall hardware setup, mouse surface, and surrounding conditions.
Weighing approximately 55 grams, the RSR5s is designed to reduce hand fatigue during long gaming or work sessions. Its shape is aimed at users with small to medium-sized hands and supports claw and fingertip grip styles. The lightweight construction allows for quicker adjustments and easier control during fast-paced gameplay.

The mouse uses high-life microswitches rated for up to 120 million clicks, offering a crisp actuation feel and quick rebound. Side buttons are positioned to help minimize accidental presses, and power or mode indicator lights are placed along the side for easy visibility.
James Donkey also integrates a self-developed web-based driver system. Users can adjust DPI levels, set key macros, change scroll wheel direction, and configure other parameters directly through a browser without installing additional software. The RSR5s supports both Windows and macOS platforms.
With its combination of dual 8K polling support, a flagship optical sensor, and a lightweight build, the James Donkey RSR5s enters the gaming mouse market as a feature-focused option for competitive players seeking high-speed input performance.
