MCHOSE Introduces K99 V3 Mechanical Keyboard With 98-Key Layout and Triple-Mode Connectivity
MCHOSE has officially announced the K99 V3, a new custom mechanical keyboard that expands the company’s product lineup with a focus on space efficiency and everyday usability. The K99 V3 uses a 98-key layout, a format that keeps the numeric keypad while reducing the overall width compared to a traditional full-size keyboard. This layout is often aimed at users who frequently work with numbers but prefer a more compact desk setup.
The keyboard is fitted with Ice Cream mechanical switches, which feature a total travel distance of 3.5±0.3mm. This specification aligns with common mechanical switch designs and is intended to deliver consistent key response for typing, office work, and general use. Internally, the K99 V3 adopts a gasket-mounted structure paired with a six-layer internal filling. This design approach is commonly used to help manage internal vibration and create a more uniform typing experience across the keyboard.

The K99 V3 relies on MCHOSE’s in-house Starry Sky solution for its core performance features. The company claims the system supports native dual 8K polling rates, paired with an input latency rated at just 0.125ms. In addition, the keyboard is said to feature full-band interference suppression, a design choice intended to maintain consistent and reliable signal transmission, particularly when operating in wireless modes.
In terms of connectivity, the K99 V3 offers three connection options. Users can connect the keyboard via a Type-C wired interface, a 2.4GHz wireless connection, or Bluetooth. This allows the keyboard to be paired with multiple devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The ability to switch between connection modes makes the K99 V3 suitable for users who move between different devices throughout the day.

The keyboard also includes a built-in multi-function control knob. This control supports one-button wake-up, volume adjustment, and mute functions. Additional features can be assigned depending on user preferences. These settings, along with lighting options, are managed through MCHOSE’s M HUB software. The software also provides basic testing tools that allow users to check key responses and other performance-related functions.
With the launch of the K99 V3, MCHOSE continues to focus on combining in-house hardware development with software-based customization. The keyboard is positioned for users looking for a near full-size layout, flexible connectivity, and added control options within a single device. MCHOSE has not yet shared official pricing or detailed availability information for different regions. However, the company has indicated that the K99 V3 is expected to become available through its standard sales channels in the coming period.
