Keychron Expands Mechanical Keyboard Lineup With Q Ultra and V Ultra Series at CES 2026
Keychron has introduced its latest mechanical keyboard lineup at CES 2026, announcing the new Q Ultra and V Ultra series. The launch marks an expansion of the company’s Ultra range, following the earlier release of the Z Ultra model in the Chinese market. With these new keyboards, Keychron is placing a strong focus on long battery life, high polling rates, and flexible connectivity options.
Both the Q Ultra and V Ultra series are built around the ZMK low-power firmware solution. This firmware is designed to reduce power consumption while maintaining fast input response. According to Keychron, the new keyboards can deliver up to 660 hours of battery life even when operating at an 8kHz polling rate. This specification is notable, as high polling rates are often associated with increased power draw, particularly in wireless keyboards.

The Q Ultra series is positioned as the premium option within the new lineup. It includes three layout variants to meet different user preferences. The Q6 Ultra features a full-size 100% layout aimed at users who rely on a dedicated number pad. The Q3 Ultra adopts an 80% tenkeyless layout, while the Q1 Ultra offers a more compact 75% layout that balances desk space and functionality.
All Q Ultra models use an aluminum alloy case, giving them a solid and durable build. Keychron has also implemented a dual gasket mounting design, which helps isolate the typing plate from the case. This design choice is intended to provide a more consistent typing feel while reducing vibration. The keyboards are equipped with KSA-profile double-shot PBT keycaps, which are designed for long-term durability and resistance to shine. Internally, multiple layers of acoustic damping material are used to manage keystroke noise and improve overall sound characteristics.

Keychron has confirmed pricing for the Q Ultra series. The Q6 Ultra is priced at $239.99, while both the Q3 Ultra and Q1 Ultra carry a price tag of $229.99. The company stated that the Q Ultra series is now available for purchase.
Alongside the Q Ultra models, Keychron also revealed the V Ultra series at CES 2026. The V Ultra keyboards are offered in the same three layout options: 100%, 80%, and 75%. Unlike the Q Ultra series, the V Ultra models are designed to appeal to users seeking more connectivity flexibility. They support tri-mode connectivity, allowing switching between wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes.

The V Ultra series introduces a redesigned knob for media and system controls, along with gasket mounting and improved acoustic damping compared to previous V-series keyboards. While Keychron has not detailed pricing for the V Ultra series at the time of announcement, the feature set suggests it will sit below the Q Ultra line in the company’s product stack.

In addition to the main lineup, Keychron also announced several special edition keyboards. These include a marble-finished version of the Q1 HE 8K and resin and concrete editions of the K2 HE. These models focus on alternative materials and visual design, catering to users interested in unique finishes rather than standard color options.
With the introduction of the Q Ultra and V Ultra series, Keychron continues to refine its approach to wireless mechanical keyboards. By combining long battery life, high polling rates, and multiple layout choices, the company is targeting both productivity-focused users and keyboard enthusiasts looking for modern wireless solutions.
