Cherry Introduces New MX Ergo Clear High-Performance Mechanical Switches

Cherry is a top-leading brand in computer peripherals mainly dealing in Mechanical keyboards and their switches. They have a huge collection of mechanical keyboards and switches that are available worldwide. Many famous brands feature Cherry MX switches on their keyboards. Today, Cherry has added a new mechanical switch to its ever-growing catalog, the Cherry MX Ergo Clear.

It’s a clear white axis switch with improved ergonomics thanks to the upgraded spring. According to Cherry’s official statement, the MX Ergo Clear switch will not have tactile feedback, the trigger pressure has also been adjusted and is now lighter than the traditional white switch. Cherry MX Ergo Clear fills the gap between the MX White and the MX Brown switches.

Cherry has replaced the PTFE lube with new high-quality lubes for an optimized typing experience. It is as smooth as an MX White switch and has the same potential as the MX Brown switches. It feels like a hybrid between Cherry MX White and Cherry MX Brown switches. In terms of performance parameters, the latest MX Ergo Clear switches have a life span of 50 million clicks. They have a pre-travel of 2mm and a total stroke of about 4mm. The switches have a trigger pressure of 40gf and maximum pressure of 55gf. These are a softer version of the traditional MX Clear switches. It will be launched in 4 versions, RGB and non-RGB, each having both 3-pin and 5-pin options.
