CHERRY Launches MW5500 Tri-Mode Mouse with PAW3950 Sensor and 8KHz Polling Rate
CHERRY has officially introduced its latest peripheral, the MW5500 tri-mode mouse, designed to balance performance, comfort, and versatility for everyday and gaming use. The new release brings together a lightweight construction, advanced sensor technology, and multiple connectivity modes.
The CHERRY MW5500 arrives in two color options, white and gray, with a skin-friendly coating that enhances grip during extended sessions. The mouse weighs just 62 grams, making it one of the lighter offerings in its category. Its shape is tailored to fit Asian hand sizes, while still providing flexibility for different grip styles, including palm, grasp, and pinch.

At the center of the MW5500 is the PixArt PAW3950 sensor, known for its high tracking precision. The mouse delivers an 8KHz polling rate, ensuring rapid response times suitable for competitive use. Supporting the sensor are Huannuo blue transparent pink dot micro switches, which aim to provide consistent click feedback and long-lasting durability.

Powering the mouse is a 600mAh rechargeable battery. One of the standout features is its fast-charging capability: with just 5 minutes of charging, the MW5500 can be used for up to 12 hours. This makes it practical for both work and gaming scenarios where downtime needs to be minimized.
In terms of connectivity, the MW5500 is a tri-mode mouse, offering wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless options. This versatility allows it to seamlessly switch between gaming setups, office environments, and portable use with laptops or tablets.

The MW5500 joins CHERRY’s growing lineup of peripherals that focus on precision engineering and user comfort. While primarily marketed toward the Asian market due to its ergonomic design, the mouse is expected to attract interest globally thanks to its combination of lightweight build, high polling rate, and versatile connection options.
The CHERRY MW5500 tri-mode mouse is now available in select regions. Pricing details and broader availability will be announced as distribution expands.
