Gateron Announces National Event Tour Showcasing Five New Magnetic Switches

Gateron, a market leader in the keyboard switches market has dived deeper into the industry with its latest announcement. Gateron is soon coming up with an entire new range of magnetic switches. During the announcement, Gateron announced a National Tour experience event with first stop in Xian, China. The event was organized on 24th August, 2024. Gateron showcased five major new products including Magnetic Jade Pro, Magnetic Jade Max, Low-Profile Magnetic Jade Switches, Silent Magnetic Switches, and Integrated Magnetic Switches. Gateron is ramping up their game in the Magnetic Switch lineup with this entirely new collection of switches. They will be soon available in the market. So far, Gateron has released the new Magnetic Jade Pro switches that are available on pre-order on their website.

What Are Magnetic Switches?

Before we move ahead, are you familiar with the term Magnetic Switches?? Basically, you can consider these as an evolved and enhanced version of Mechanical switches primarily good for gamers and keyboard enthusiasts who would like faster and consistent typing feedback and performance. Instead of using a physical mechanism to trigger a keystroke, Magnetic Switches uses a magnet suspended in a coil to register the keystrokes. When we press a key, the magnet moves closer to the coil, inducing a current and hence registering the input. There are many benefits that come with Magnetic Switches. Gateron Jade Max Switches:-

Next up, we have the Gateron Jade Max switches. These are fully magnetic switches designed with rare earth permanent magnetic materials. These have improved magnetic accuracy, Light Guide 3.0 diffuser with arc-shaped design for increased light transmission. Gateron has designed the Jade Max switches with dual-track structure design that greatly improves typing stability. It also has upgraded bottom back cover promising Mahjong like HiFi sound effects while typing. Gateron Jade Low-Profile POM Switches:-

These are going to be the first full POM version of low-profile magnetic switches. These offer silky smooth linear movement with a feather-like light trigger force. Full POM material build provides them with a self-lubricated design, ensuring ultra-low friction and smooth keystroke movement. The low-profile Magnetic Jade POM switches have a durability rating of over 100 million clicks and also feature DIY light guide column. They have Dual-Track structure design that promises stabilized and wobble-free typing feedback. Gateron Jade Low-Profile POM Magnetic Switches are going to bring the pleasure of magnetic switches in low-profile design.

Silent Magnetic Switches:-

These are Gateron’s first silent magnetic switches with silencing pad on both the sides. These greatly absorb keystroke sound and provide a silent typing acoustics. These also have dual-track structure design for a stable and consistent typing feedback. Integrated Magnetic Switches:-

Gateron has also showcased their latest Integrated Magnetic Switches. They have the TMR sensor integrated inside the Shaft body to reduce the power difference caused by the sensor in the external parts. These have greatly improved triggering accuracy. The integrated magnetic switches have dual-track structure design supporting multi-directional Hall effect. With enhanced back cover structure, the integrated magnetic switches offer HiFi sound effect. Players can use gasket-mounted or other structure with these switches.
