Kailh Showcases Ice Cream Mini and Taro Ice Cream Mini Full-Pom Low-Profile Switches

Today, Kailh has announced two new members to its famous “Ice Cream” series of mechanical switches. Introducing the Kailh Ice Cream Mini and Kailh Taro Ice Cream Mini switches, as you might guess from their name, these two are high-quality, low-profile mechanical switches. Both these new low-profile switches have a self-lubricating Full-POM material build, ensuring silky smooth typing feedback.
The Ice Cream Mini switches have a pure milky white colour build, and each component on these switches has a milky white colour. The Taro Ice Cream Mini switches also have a similar pure white build, just the main shaft core is made up of Taro(Light Purple) colour. They have high durability, and both switches have a rated lifespan of over 50 million keystrokes. Kailh has tuned them to provide a silky smooth and satisfying typing feedback. Both Ice Cream Mini and Taro Ice Cream Mini switches feature refined springs for a quick rebound. They offer lightweight and convenient typing feedback with 37gf(Ice Cream Mini) and 40gf(Taro Ice Cream Mini) trigger force.
Both the Ice Cream Mini and the Taro Ice Cream Mini switches have identical trigger points. They have an initial trigger point at 1.2mm±0.3mm and a complete key travel of 2.8mm±0.3mm. As mentioned previously in the blog, both Ice Cream Mini as well as Taro Ice Cream Mini switches have full-POM construction. The shaft core, top cover, and bottom cover, all three components have full-POM material construction. Full-POM material is known for its self-lubricating nature. This makes these switches extremely smooth to type on.
