AKKO Announces PC75B Plus and PC98B Plus Top-Mounted Hot-Swappable Mechanical Keyboards

AKKO is a well-reputed brand from China that deals in premium and innovative mechanical keyboards. Today, AKKO has released two new mechanical keyboard models with TOP mounted structure, the PC75B Plus TOP, and the PC98B Plus TOP. As you might have guessed both the keyboards belong to the same series, having the same switch profiles, similar looks, just different form factors based on the key arrangement. AKKO has equipped the latest keyboards with advanced functions such as full-key conflict-free operation, full-key hot-swappable PCB sockets, RGB backlight, Dual-toned PBT keycaps, and many more.

AKKO PC75B Plus Top-1

One common feature on both the PC75B Plus and the PC98B Plus is the TOP-mounted structure. The PCB plate has been fixed to the top frame. Combined with sound-absorbing cotton and silicon-foam layers between the plates and casing brings a super smooth typing experience with soft keystroke sound. AKKO has precisely designed both the keyboards in the same black gold color theme. Both the keyboards use high-quality ASA height dual-toned PBT keycaps. They both come with premium AKKO customized mechanical switches with hot-swappable PCB sockets. Both the keyboards have full-key hot-swappable that allows the users to replace the switches. They support both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. The keyboards also have full-key conflict-free operation avoiding any ghosting issues and improving typing accuracy. AKKO has also featured a full-backlit RGB backlight on the PC75B Plus and PC98B Plus keyboards. They come with 18 pre-built effects. 

Both the PC75B Plus and PC98B Plus keyboards have got triple connection modes. They can be connected to a variety of devices using its three connection modes. They support Wireless 2.4GHz, Wireless Bluetooth V5.0, and Wired USB Type-C connectivity.

As one might guess from the name, the PC75B Plus TOP has got a 75% compact form factor with an 82-key arrangement. This one has a compact form factor and occupies a little space on your desk only. The 82-key arrangement here houses the alphanumeric keys along with function row keys and the arrow keys. There’s no numeric keypad on the PC75B Plus. AKKO has also featured a multimedia volume knob on the PC75B which allows for easy volume adjustment on the go. It’s ideal for gamers and enthusiasts who are looking for a neat and compact build. AKKO PC75B Plus TOP is launched for 109.99$.

AKKO PC98B Plus Top-1

PC98B Plus TOP keyboard houses a customized 98-key layout. The keyboard houses everything from alphanumeric keys to the numeric keypad but without the Home key cluster here. PC98B Plus doesn’t have the volume knob that is present on the PC75B Plus. PC75B Plus TOP uses a faster processor that enables it to have faster switching between RGB effects and faster macro programming. The official launch price of AKKO PC98B Plus TOP is set at 119.99$.
