ASUS ROG Unveils Split Gaming Keyboard “Falcata” and Harpe II Ace Mouse
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced a new lineup of gaming peripherals, led by the introduction of the ROG Falcata gaming keyboard and the ROG Harpe II Ace wireless gaming mouse. These two products mark the latest additions to ASUS’s growing portfolio of high-performance gear tailored for competitive gamers.
The ROG Falcata is a split gaming keyboard designed to offer greater flexibility for both gaming and everyday use. Its detachable layout caters especially well to FPS gamers and users who prefer operating with just one side of the keyboard. This innovative design helps reduce desk clutter and promotes a more ergonomic hand position.
The Falcata features a 75% compact layout and supports hot-swappable switches, allowing users to replace or customize switches without soldering. It comes equipped with ASUS’s pre-lubricated ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches, offering a lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes. The switches support 0.01mm step-level fine-tuning of key travel distance, giving users a high degree of control over actuation sensitivity.
For connectivity, the keyboard supports tri-mode connections — wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless — with an 8,000 Hz polling rate in wireless mode, aiming to reduce latency in fast-paced games. ASUS claims a battery life of up to 610 hours under certain usage conditions.
The Falcata also includes a multifunction wheel and button that can be configured for various controls, such as adjusting actuation points, Rapid Trigger sensitivity, media playback, volume, and lighting effects. A physical switch located at the top edge allows users to toggle Rapid Trigger mode depending on their preferences.
Internally, the keyboard uses a four-layer sound-dampening system to reduce key noise and improve typing acoustics. It also includes a pair of standalone silicone wrist rests designed to provide additional comfort during long gaming sessions.
Alongside the keyboard, ASUS introduced the ROG Harpe II Ace gaming mouse. Designed with feedback from professional esports players, the Harpe II Ace targets users who favor claw and fingertip grips. It uses a lightweight bio-based nylon shell and weighs just 48 grams. The slightly curved sides improve lift and grip during gameplay.
The Harpe II Ace is powered by a new-generation microcontroller unit (MCU) and features the ROG AimPoint Pro sensor with a maximum DPI of 42,000. It also incorporates ROG optical micro switches rated for 100 million clicks and supports true 8,000 Hz wireless polling for high-speed input response.
Both the ROG Falcata and Harpe II Ace aim to deliver performance enhancements that address the needs of competitive players, combining durability, customization, and speed in their respective categories. ASUS has not yet provided release dates or regional pricing details for the new products.
